The Cost of Learning Abroad
The cost of a Learning Abroad Program varies depending on a number of factors:
- Length of program
- Type of program
Cost estimates for each program can be found on the program’s web page and can be accessed through our Program Search.
The structure of the payment depends on the program type. All students, no matter what program they apply for, are required to submit an initial payment at the time of application. The initial payment for all Learning Abroad Programs is $500.00.
For faculty-led programs, the Global Campus in South Korea, and exchange programs:
- $500 payment is paid at the time of application. This fee is part of the total program cost of your program.
For affiliate programs:
$500 payment is paid at the time of application. This fee is in addition to the program cost designated by the affiliate partner.
This initial payment will be made online through your Learning Abroad Application. Once you are committed to your program, this payment is non-refundable, except in the case that Learning Abroad cancels your program. Even though the initial payment will NOT be billed to your U of U student tuition account, this charge is required in order for the application to be considered complete by the application deadline.
