MY STORY
The skills I learned while studying abroad through the U allowed me to become a more dynamic and open minded individual. I honed practical skills like cross cultural communication and active listening, while immersing myself to better increase my foreign language skills!
Funding did impact my decision to study abroad. I chose a program that was during fall break, because it worked better with my timeline to graduation, but it was cheaper than a full semester. I was also fortunate to be selected for the Learning Abroad Social Media Scholarship.
My experience abroad had a profound impact when it came time to choose my career. I had fallen in love with travel, new cultures, and eye opening experiences. Which is why I became a flight attendant! I share my stories and the lessons I’ve learned on my travel blog, www.beyondutah.com.
