Health Insurance and Immunizations
Requirements regarding Health Insurance and Immunizations are created by the University of Utah. More information regarding these policies can be found the on the Student Health Center website here: http://studenthealth.utah.edu/.
International Student Health Insurance
The University of Utah wants to ensure that international students are fully covered by adequate health insurance while in the U.S. All international students on F and J visas will automatically be enrolled in the University of Utah Student Health Insurance Plan administered by United Healthcare. International Students should be aware that most travel health insurance policies from your home country or elsewhere will not meet the requirements to waive health insurance coverage at the University of Utah.
The cost for University of Utah Student Health insurance will be included as a separate item in your tuition bill. You MUST PAY for this insurance by the tuition due date or a registration hold will prevent you from registering for future semesters.
For more information on the policy cost and plan, please visit the Student Health Center website and click on the "International Students" tab at the top of the page: http://studenthealth.utah.edu/.
